House Republicans will take a sharp turn to the right on budget matters with the appointment of Rep. Kent Lambert to the legislature's Joint Budget Committee.
House Minority Leader Mike May, R-Parker, said he will appoint fellow Republican Lambert, of Colorado Springs, to the powerful six-member committee today. Lambert will replace former Rep. Don Marostica a Loveland Republican, who resigned his seat to become the economic development director for Gov. Bill Ritter, a Democrat.
